The Positive Side of Peer Pressure

What do you first think of when you hear the term “peer pressure?” Not to give too much of my rebellious teenage years away, but I think of cheap wine coolers and cigarettes (sorry, Mom!) and a deep need to figure out a way to buy an oversized Guess sweatshirt (that trend didn’t hit only me in middle school, did it?).

But peer pressure doesn’t just affect kids. And it isn’t just about drugs, alcohol and questionable fashion trends. It affects us all. And while it can make you do stuff you probably shouldn’t and wouldn’t do otherwise, it can also be used for good. And this infographic from Wooden Toy Shop breaks it all down perfectly.

So, basically, this means that we need to hang out with people we want to be like. You know that quote from Jim Rohn that you’re the average of the five people you spend the most time with? Yep, peer pressure. In a good way!

Who peer pressures you into being more awesome? Share this post with them and tell them THANK YOU!Jenn
